Alberto Odériz winner of the VII edition of the Cervezas Alhambra Emerging Art Award
His project "Si se pareciera a algo, ya no sería el todo" extracts the forms of the Alhambra to bring them to the present. A series of sculptures born from the Nasrid abstraction that play with the multiple combinatory possibilities and that was made in collaboration with the artisans Miguel and Javier Muñoz from Escayolas Muñoz of Pamplona, in addition to having Juan Pablo Huércanos, deputy director of the Oteiza Foundation, as a mentor.
This year's jury was made up of art critic Juan Francisco Rueda; Jose Lebrero, artistic director of the Picasso Museum in Malaga; Santiago Olmo, director of the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo; Yolanda Romero, curator of the Banco de España Collection; set designer Marta Pazos; Patrizia Sandretto, president of the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation; Rocío Díaz, director of the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife; and Silvia Delgado Roca, marketing director of Cervezas Alhambra.
