Albero Odériz finalist in the VII edition of the Cervezas Alhambra Emerging Art Award

The Cervezas Alhambra Emerging Art Prize is kicking off its seventh edition to bring together the best emerging artists on the national scene and promote the creation of unpublished works. An initiative that, after the success of previous editions, has managed to become a landmark in the cultural calendar and was created to bring the work of these promising new artists to an increasingly large audience and revalue their work.

The five finalists who will compete for the award next year have already been announced: five projects created through a handcrafted production process reinterpreted in a contemporary key and that perfectly reflect the spirit of the brand, taking Granada and its most emblematic monument, the Alhambra, as the main source of inspiration.

Their names have been chosen by a panel of experts formed by the Commissioner of the Award, Alicia Ventura; Iñaki Martínez, independent curator; Beatriz Herráez, Director of Artium; Marta Rincón, Head of Visual Arts Architecture and Design; and Álvaro Truijillo, Brand Manager Territory of Cervezas Alhambra. This jury has been in charge of selecting the candidates who will go on to bring their projects to life at the hands of top-level artisans.

The five finalists of the 7th edition of the Cervezas Alhambra Emerging Art Award are Pablo Capitán del Río, Irene Grau, Cristina Garrido, Almudena Lobera and Alberto Odériz.

The finalists' projects will be exhibited at the Cervezas Alhambra stand at ARCOmadrid 2023. The prize winner will be announced during the fair.
