Rosendo Cid I CGAC Research and Essay Prize
Rosendo Cid (Ourense, 1974) has been awarded with the I CGAC Research and Essay Prize.
Under the title of "Art is made of an uncertain and fragmentary matter" he reflects on contemporary artistic practice.
The jury, chaired by the director of the CGAC, Santiago Olmo and composed by Mónica Maneiro (critic and curator), Ramón Villares and Antón Castro (professors of the Universities of Santiago de Compostela and Vigo, respectively), especially valued "the originality of the approach and the literary quality of a text marked by humor and irony, two strategies also present in his work. "
The essay will be edited by the Museum's Publications Department in 2019, which will start a new collection entitled "CGAC_Ensayo"
