She works as an artist, researcher and teacher. Her work process focuses on a non-predetermined way of constructing that attends to the nearby context and that puts together fragments of found materials and experiences lived repeatedly through different media according to their singular demand.
She received her PhD from the Department of Painting at the University of the Basque Country in 2010. She currently works as an assistant professor in the same Department.
She combines her teaching and research work with artistic production, having participated in several exhibitions at regional, national and international level.
She has exhibited her work at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Space4Arte in San Diego and Cultuurcentrum Hasselt, among others.
She has received grants from the Bilbaoarte Fundazioa Foundation (2004), the Provincial Council of Bizkaia or the Basque Government (2007) and has been awarded in national competitions such as Injuve (2009).
She has also been selected for several residencies at Akhersus University College of Applied Sciences, Oslo (2012), Banff Artist Resident Program, Banff Centre, Alberta (2012), Sanselab Residency at Concordia University, Montreal (2017) and Residency at Villa Empain together with the collective intermez (Remco Roes & Koenraad Claes), Brussels (2020-2021).
