He uses different artistic forms such as photography, installation, and film.
His work is the result of research into the process of transformation of built space. Reflection and interaction with the constructions and materials of the environment, whether through photography, painting, or sculpture, allow him to search for the essence of their form, playing with their inorganic nature towards an organic reinterpretation of it, proposing an active contemplation that produces a certain disposition or expansion of sensitivity, on a formal but also conceptual level, in relation to historical and socioeconomic structural dispositions.
He has held solo exhibitions in museums such as the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Paris), the CGAC (Santiago de Compostela), MARCO (Vigo), Institut Français (Madrid), OCEMX (Mexico City), and in galleries such as Solo Galerie (Paris), Galería Moriarty (Madrid), Kwanhoon Gallery (Seoul), Galería Taché (Barcelona), PABLO Gallery (Manila), and Nordés in Santiago de Compostela.
He has created site-specific pieces at the First Manila Biennale (Philippines), Tabacalera (Madrid), Kreativquartier (Munich), and the 42nd National Artists' Salon (Cartagena de Indias).
He participated in the Spanish Pavilion at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale.
He has received grants and awards such as the Royal Academy of Spain Grant in Rome, the 20th Fotopress Grant from La Caixa, Laureat de la Cité Internationale des Arts de Paris, the Saab Award for Best Exhibition at the Off Festival of Photoespaña, and First Prize in Photography from INJUVE.
He also directed the feature-length documentary Alberto García-Alix. La línea de sombra, which premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and won awards at various film festivals, including Guadalajara and Toulouse.
Among others, he has published the books Interventions (RM), Arquitectura y resistencia (Architecture and Resistance, Editorial Cabeza de Chorlito) and Arquitectura Espontánea (Spontaneous Architecture, Fundación La Caixa).
